BARTON COTTON'S STRONG COMEBACK LEADS TO NEW CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS
BALTIMORE (January 28, 2010) Less than one year after Baltimore based Barton Cotton was rescued from Chapter 7 bankruptcy by its new owner, Jim Moore, the fundraising, affinity marketing and religious product firm has staged an exceptional comeback and is pleased to announce an upcoming move. Affirming his confidence and commitment to Barton Cotton's long-term stability and growth, Mr. Moore recently signed a 10-year lease for office, production and warehouse space at 3000 Waterview Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland, which will soon become the new corporate headquarters of Barton Cotton and its fundraising division, Edge Direct.
Scheduled for late March of this year, all three of Barton Cotton's current facilities and its entire staff will relocate from their current locations in Arbutus, Maryland, a small suburb south of Baltimore's city limits, to the 200,000 sq ft facility which will accommodate the company's sales and marketing offices, product development, printing, fulfillment, and warehousing activities. Offering ample capacity for growth, the space resides along Baltimore's waterfront, overlooking the city that Barton Cotton has called home for 81 years. Coexisting under one roof will not only add to the company's overall efficiencies; it will also significantly reduce its carbon footprint -- a key mission of many well-known Barton Cotton clients.
The purchase of the company by Mr. Moore in April of 2009 resulted in the company's ability to continue offering its full portfolio of successful direct mail fundraising, affinity marketing, and religious product programs and sales to its broad base of well-known, predominantly non-profit clients. A significant portion of Barton Cotton's clients immediately re-signed with the company following its re-establishment last Spring. In many other cases, clients that turned to other providers during the uncertain times have subsequently re-signed with Barton Cotton -- recognizing its professional staff's exceptional ability to analyze and meet their customers' needs, deliver on their promises, and offer high quality products made in the USA.
Sister companies owned by Mr. Moore include direct marketing and production services firm, ResourceOne, located in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as well as donor management and software firm, Bernard Data Solutions, located in Broomfield, Colorado.
